Brand Challenge
As part of Kinmen County’s 2021 Cultural and Creative Industry Development Project, Tianmuzi Goods Studio sought to promote local culture through creative merchandise. They collected traditional Kinmen proverbs and rhymes from village elders, hoping to reinterpret and pass them down to younger generations in innovative ways.
The challenge lay in how to integrate cultural depth with product design through metal craftsmanship.
Solution
Tianmuzi collaborated with MicroMetal, experimenting with multiple metal surface treatments. After several rounds of sampling, they chose an antique brass finish for the bookmark, symbolizing the passage of time and the richness of cultural heritage.
Using precision etching, the text and details appear with clarity and refinement, transforming the Kinmen dialect into a visible and tangible mark of culture.
